Police Arrest Ex-Immigration Officer, Intercept Arms Meant for Abuja Bandits

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command arrested a dismissed immigration officer who was attempting to sell a sophisticated Scorpion CZ EVO3 automatic firearm and dozens of rounds of ammunition to bandits operating within the Abuja-Kaduna forest. Building on these anti-crime efforts, the Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police reported that tactical police operations and targeted raids across high-risk areas from January 1 to February 28, 2025, led to the arrest of three hundred criminal suspects—including armed robbers, kidnappers, and cultists—while reinforcing the command's commitment to continuously monitor abandoned buildings and clear out criminal hideouts to secure the territory.
