System Glitch: US Embassy to Reschedule Visa Interviews

The United States Department of State has attributed recent difficulties experienced by Nigerian visa applicants, including the cancellation of scheduled interviews at the United States Embassy and Consulate, to a partial systems outage. In response to reports of these technical glitches, Jennifer Johnson, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Consular Affairs, confirmed that the issue has since been resolved and that normal consular operations have resumed. The Department of State has assured affected applicants that they will be contacted to reschedule their missed appointments, marking another adjustment period for Nigerians following the implementation of a new visa appointment system that was intended to increase transparency and ease the application process in both Abuja and Lagos.
