First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has unveiled key empowerment initiatives for women, youth, and vulnerable groups under her Renewed Hope Initiative during its first-quarter high-level meeting at the State House in Abuja. Among the plans, she announced the nationwide distribution of 370,000 cartons of sanitary towels under the “Flow in Confidence” campaign to support menstrual hygiene for schoolgirls, particularly in rural areas, with the products to be locally manufactured in Lagos and Abuja. She also revealed a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Environment to tackle plastic waste, introducing Environment Climate Change Clubs in secondary schools and societies in tertiary institutions to promote environmental sustainability. Additionally, Mrs. Tinubu pledged support for persons with disabilities through the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme, reaffirming her commitment to improving hygiene, environmental awareness, and economic inclusion across Nigeria.
