The National Librarian Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi on Thursday 3rd April 2025, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Midpoint Innovation Limited, to Establish and collaborate on a National Library Endowment Foundation.
In a brief remark before the formal signing of documents, which took place in her office, Prof. Anunobi expressed optimism that the partnership, holds the potential to provide sustainable solutions to financial constraints that limit the operations of the National Library. She further expressed hopes that the agreement will remain effective even after her tenure, ensuring seamless cooperation between both parties.
Responding, Prof. Emeka Aniagolu, Chief Executive Officer of Midpoint Innovation Limited, lauded the National Librarian for her proactive approach and commitment to progress. He noted that the partnership is a "step in the right direction,"highlighting the importance of synergy in achieving meaningful transformation within the sector.
The Memorandum of Understanding was afterwards signed by the National Librarian on behalf of the National Library while Professor Emeka Aniagolu signed on behalf of his organization
Present during the ceremony were Mrs. Ngozi Odogwu, Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, Barrister Pauline Ogbu, Assistant Director of Legal, Mr. Orvell Dio, Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations, as well as Engr. Azuka Celestine Adigwe, Senior Research Fellow, Midpoint Innovation Limited.
